Music fans raise hospice cash
Soul fans raised £2000 for a Farnham hospice at music event ‘Soul at the Castle’.
Organised by Matt Rogers & Roland Hawes, the popular twice yearly event held at Farnham Castle raises money for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. The event was first held in 2006.
Around 300 soul devotees enjoyed a wide variety of DJs filling three rooms with the very finest soul, jazz, funk and disco music.
Community & Events Fundraising Manager at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice thanked Matt and Roland for their hard work and dedication to the event and Farnham Castle for hosting. She added: “The NHS covers less than 12% of the Hospice’s costs so we rely on the support of the local community to enable us to help 140 patients and carers every day.”
