Donate an alternative ‘gift’ this Christmas
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is urging people to gift a donation to loved ones this Christmas to help provide care for patients with life limiting illnesses.
The Farnham-based charity is asking local people to think differently about how they spend their money on presents and to donate a ‘gift’ to the Hospice instead of buying a present for friends.
Head of Fundraising, Chris Beynon said: “This festive season we would be really grateful if people could consider donating to Pip’s Appeal. Pip Butler is one of our nurses and by donating as little as £16 you can give the gift of Pip to look after patients and their families for an hour.
“We recently reported that donations to the Hospice have declined due to a 10% drop in the number of people donating. We hope that those who have never given to the Hospice before or have not done so recently, as well as our regular and loyal supporters, will remember those being cared for by Pip and her colleagues this Christmas.
“Whatever you can donate, every penny will make a real difference to local people living with life limiting illnesses.”
To donate to Pip’s Appeal this Christmas, text PIP to 70300 to donate £3 per month or donate online at www.pth.org.uk/pipsappeal
