Making it easier for people to sponsor you
We would encourage you to set up a personal online sponsorship page on the Virgin Money Giving website. By doing this you can avoid the need to chase people for their sponorship money because everything will come directly to us!
Please ask your sponsors to let us know if they are a UK tax payer so that we can claim an extra 25% on their sponsorship amount at no extra cost to you, them or us!
Setting up your page is simple:
• Visit: www.virginmoneygiving.com and click Create/Make Your Page
• Follow the simple steps to create your page
• Entitle your page: Steps Under The Stars 2012
• You will then be given a link to your personal fundraising page, which you can email round to all your friends, family and colleagues to encourage their sponsorship
Every pound raised through your participation in Steps Under The Stars will enable so many people to benefit from the care that the Hospice provides.
- £16 - would pay for one of our nurses to look after patients and families for one hour.
- £60 - pays for a patient's medical supplies for example dressings, oxygen masks, gloves and bandages.
- £120 - pays for a nurse to care for patients on one shift.
- £135 - pays to maintain our hoists and baths for one patient to use for one week.
- £250 - pays for delivering vital pain relief drugs to patients for one month.
