Getting sponsored
There are two easy ways to collect sponsorship for your fundraising:
- You can use our official sponsorship form.
Please ask your kind sponsors to give their home address and full name if they are a UK taxpayer so that we are able to claim Gift Aid on their donation. (Gift Aid increases the amount you raise by 25% as we are able to claim back the tax paid by the donor on the amount they have given.) - Collect sponsors online with your own JustGiving web page!
This is a really simple and popular way to collect your sponsorship – it’s easy, quick and costs you nothing. And another great thing – you’ll find that online sponsors tend to give more than they would if they filled in your paper sponsorship form! Simply follow the instructions on justgiving.com and then email the web page to friends, family, and colleagues and they can sponsor you in any currency, at any time of day or night!
A little extra idea…
Why not try a sponsorcard?
Personalise your own message on a small card and post it to friends and family. This works particularly well if you are sending out Christmas cards or invitations in the post at the same time. It allows the sponsor to make an individual donation to sponsor you without using a sponsorship form. It also includes your JustGiving web page address if you have set one up.
