Two of the best blues players this country has produced
return to the Centre for a night of superb blues. Paul Jones is renowned
as a singer (fronting Manfred Mann and The Blues Band), expert harmonica
player, actor and R2/JazzFM DJ/blues aficionado. His partner in The
Blues Band, Dave Kelly, is no mean singer himself and one of the finest
slide players around playing with Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee
Hooker, Son House and Buddy Guy along the way. Together – perfection!

The Tornados

The
Tornados are famous as the first British Group ever to get a number one
record in USA with “Telstar” which has sold in excess of 9 million
copies. Reformed by the original drummer Clem Cattini, (who has also
played with Michael Jackson, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Englebert
Humperdinck and The Kinks among others), the band broke Box Office
records at Le Palais, Hammersmith at the Capital Gold Xmas Party in the
90’s. Performing Tornados hits and other 60’s classics with superb vocal
harmonies, they include some of the countries finest musicians including
Colin Farley from Cutting Crew.
