DONATE TO THE HOSPICE
By remembering the Hospice in your Will
Legacies continue to form a very important part of our income
Please consider leaving us a sum of money or making a specific gift to
help with our vital work, or you may leave the Hospice the residue, or
share of the residue, of your estate. If you would like to remember the
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in your Will, we suggest you use the following
wording.
“I give to
Phyllis Tuckwell Memorial Hospice Limited, Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey
GU9 8BL (description of bequest) for the general purpose of the Hospice
and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or Secretary for the time
being of the Hospice shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my
executors.”

Give as you Earn
The
Government encourages people to give to charity directly from their wages.
This is tax-free and, the Government will add 10p to every pound donated
from payroll giving in addition to 28p in tax relief. If you would like
more information about this very effective form of giving,
please click here. Alternatively, ask your
employer for more details.
Company
Giving
Companies are able to make gifts to charity, deducting basic rate income
tax from the payment and accounting for it to the Inland Revenue. As
companies can reclaim 28p in the pound, a donation to us of £1,000 will
actually cost your company £720.
If you would
like us to receive a valuable additional benefit to your intended gift at
no extra cost to your company we would ask you to increase the amount you
give us by the tax reclaim value of 28% and then claim it back, e.g. you
would send us £1,280, but would receive tax relief to the value of £280.
In this way
your company will have given us £1,000, but the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
will actually receive £1,280, the full value of your gift due to the extra
benefit this tax arrangement delivers. Please call our Fundraising

By joining
Your Local Hospice Lottery
This is your weekly chance to win £1,000 and 72 other prizes. Our lottery
office will allocate you a six digit exclusive number which goes into a
computerized draw each week. It costs only £1 a week to join. Many people
find it easier to pay by cheque or standing order, quarterly (£13), half
yearly (£26) or annually (£52). TC Lottery is run by Phyllis Tuckwell
Hospice in partnership with another local charity, the CHASE Children’s
Hospice.
