Community Fundraiser at the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice

CLAIRE WALKER

Claire began singing at school and whilst at the University of Kent she trained in singing at the Kent Music School in Canterbury with Judith Pierce. She has sung oratorio and with several choirs, but her main interest lies in musical theatre.

Claire has appeared in numerous productions, including Broadway Pirates (Kate), Company (Jenny), The Mikado (Pitti-Sing), Oklahoma, Sweet Charity, Grease (Jan), Chicago (Matron Mama Morton) and Godspell.

Claire co-founded the highly successful theatre company Right On Cue, producing several shows in South West London and the Edinburgh Fringe. She has recorded two concept musicals and currently sings with Charles Miller.

Claire Walker was a Mathematics teacher for twelve years before choosing a new career path. She worked at The Royal British Legion’s Headquarters in Pall Mall as Special Events Co-ordinator before joining the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice as Community Fundraiser in June 2000.
