This year Phyllis Tuckwell is excited to launch its first Make a Will Fortnight from the 12th to 23rd of September 2011. The campaign gives you the opportunity to receive a Will free of charge in return for a donation to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
How Make a Will fortnight works
During our Make a Will Fortnight, a local solicitor will write a basic Will for you or update an existing one free of charge. In return we ask that you make donation to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
- You get in touch directly with the solicitor of your choice from the list below and arrange an appointment
- The solicitor will tell you how much the firm would normally have charged for preparing the Will. The average cost of this service is £150. You are asked to make a donation that reflects the time and effort that the solicitor has given.
- There is no obligation for you to leave a gift to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in your Will, but should you decide to do so it would be very much appreciated.
- If your Will is not basic (e.g. if it includes complex tax planning) it cannot be included in this scheme and the solicitor will tell you the price for that additional work.
