‘Samfest 2011’ Supports Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
8 August, 2011
The hottest ticket in Tongham; charity music festival ‘Samfest’ is the place to be this summer and with 80% of all profit donated to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice there’s no excuse not to join in.
The charity run music festival is in memory of Samantha Wright who tragically lost her life to Cancer. Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice cared for Sam during her illness and continues to support her family and friends.
The one day charity music festival is held on 20th August 2011 at the recreation ground and community centre in Tongham. On the day there will be an array of music talent performing, a funfair, face painting and many other activities to get stuck into.
A selection of food and drink will be available to buy, including an all day barbecue and a 70ft marquee festival bar for you to enjoy. The gates will be open from 11.00am with the last band finishing at approximately 11.30pm.
“We are delighted to be part of Samfest 2011 and what better way to get friends, families and local communities together to remember such a special person” says Ruth Scammell, Community & Events Fundraising Manager.
