PHYLLIS TUCKWELL HOSPICE
WALK
FOR THE WARDS
Walk for the Wards was a tremendous
success again this year despite the appalling weather. Our sincere
thanks go to all the volunteers who helped on the day (50
altogether) but a special thank you must be given to the marshals
who stood in the pouring rain (and thunderstorm) and checked our
walkers through safely.
96.4 The Eagle were fantastic
promoters of Walk for the Wards, both in the run up to the event and
on the day itself with Peter Gordon, the breakfast show presenter,
leading a team of walkers, all of whom raised sponsorship money.
