Having been aware of the hospice for many years, I have always been
aware of the caring environment that it provides. May it long
continue.

I don't think of this hospice with sadness, but with gratitude I
suppose? The care that was given to Allan, who was in your care for
a little over 3 weeks. That he was not alone at the end, but
watched over by 2 lovely ladies.
I am not sure if I am religious.
Possibly there is something there, in which case he was watched over
by 3 not 2.
I don’t have a lot to offer, and
nothing in comparison to what was given, but I will try.
I will try and live to the mantra I kept repeating at Allan’s
funeral. Not to cry for the loss of him, but to smile because I had
known him, and known his love. Though at the moment it is still very
hard.
To thank so many people who have
taken up a vocation that I see as an extremely difficult and
emotional one.

I like to visit often to find out what fundraising events are going
on and when. It also reminds me of the great care you took of my
mother and your kindness to my brother, myself and all her family.
Thank you can never be enough. You are all very special.

As it happens I am to attend a meeting here next week to discuss the
long overdue updating of our hospice website. As an ex-nurse from
the Phyllis Tuckwell I just had to look at yours. Of the half dozen
I have looked at, I am impressed. By far the most eyecatching and
informative.
P.s. still miss you sometimes- sat hi to all the nurses and Dr
Morris for me!

My mother Coral Davies passed away whilst at the hospice on the
16.03.04. She is so sadly missed by us all, but the care she
received from you and everyone at the hospice was second to none. I
know my father and my family have received great comfort from
knowing she was so well cared for in her last few days.
God bless you all

I am a therapy radiographer. I am doing psychology of cancer care
module as a post grad certificate and my main issue is around
complimentary therapies for patients with cancer, the benefits, what
the doctors think etc. This site has got a lot of information about
palliative care and your hospice. I enjoyed reading it, thanks.

My wife, and mother to my two children, was cared for with so much
love and care in your wonderful hospice, in November 2000. Sadly she
passed away whilst in your care. I have never in all my life come
across such a lovely and caring group of people, no matter what
time of day or night, they were always there to give love and
warmth, to both my wife and myself. You will forever be in my
thoughts and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
