“GO YELLOW” SPONSORED WALK AND COUNTRYSIDE
QUIZ:
As part of the Hospice Movement’s “Go Yellow” month in June, and following last year’s very successful event, we have organised another sponsored walk in the beautiful setting of ALICE HOLT WOODLAND PARK, FARNHAM (situated off the main A325 shortly after Bird World) on Sunday 22 June 2003. Why not dress in yellow, take a pleasant stroll of 3 miles – or the longer course approaching 8 miles – and finish by bringing a “yellow picnic” whilst raising money for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice? Entrants receive “goody bags” and this year we are incorporating the annual Go Yellow quiz for families and teams so that, if you wish, you can exercise the brain as well as the body in the great outdoors. Teams can contain up to six people. The winning team will receive tickets for ‘Picnic to Music in the Park’ in July and you might want to obtain sponsorship for points instead of (or as well as) miles. Come with the family, a group of friends or just by yourself and don’t forget that dogs are also welcome - and they can be sponsored for the walk if not the quiz! Prices on the day will be £12.50, £5.50 and £1.50 respectively. It pays to sign up in advance and all entrance fees can be deducted from final sponsorship contributions if you wish. Sponsorship forms are available on request. Places are limited so please complete and return the attached slip as soon as possible. We rely almost totally on fundraising initiatives to continue to provide expert care for our patients. We really do want “Go Yellow” month to be a great success so please come and have a lovely day in the country whilst supporting the Hospice. |
